ADVANCED ENGINEERING WORKMANSHIP

RHINE mechatronics is a single-source engineering company with a global presence. Our core business is the development of intelligent production systems, products and machines that mass produce at optimal efficiency. Our core competencies include the turnkey design, simulation, commissioning and support of scalable manufacturing solutions that include tooling, software, electrical and robotic sub-systems. We are organised, systematic and service-driven so that your project and production metrics are met. RHINE’s success is derived from its industry experience and from the advantages that we offer to our clients with innovative solutions.

FLEXIBLE PRODUCTION

Our process solutions are deployed in a wide range of industries such as automotive and aerospace manufacturing. RHINE offers service oriented know-how in the design, simulation and commissioning of production lines, production cells and end-of-line diagnostics.

At the heart of every automation project’s success lies meticulous project management that is tailored to your specific requirements. We are focussed on the client’s expectations at every stage of the planning, management and execution of the engineering project.

We unlock the potential of your plant’s production data to offer you new insights that support your decision making in order to respond timeously to dynamic changes in the process environment.

Our business culture is centered around after-sales service that ensures that your production remains optimised long after commissioning. Our in-house expertise encompasses the following disciplines in production

AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTION | MACHINING | PROCESS SIMULATION | SOFTWARE ENGINEERING | INDUSTRIAL ROBOTICS | TOOLING | MACHINE LEARNING | MORE

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

We bring your intellectual property (IP) to life. Our multidisciplinary engineering team develops application-specific machines and products for various clients as a single source supplier. An enterprise aiming to supply a market demand for a product is required to meet applicable industry standards such as CE, ISO, TÜV, SANS and Ingress Protection (IP). Our clients range from small to large companies that require functional representations of their ideas that can be taken to the market.

As part of our turnkey design services we offer professional mechanical engineering design and associated risk analysis such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Functional Safety (FUSI) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). The mechanical design of an assembly is verified by stress analysis and concluded with assembly drawings and manufacturing.

In order to operate machines, diagnostic systems and electronic products our software engineering team focusses on low level embedded firmware and control software solutions. We follow several development methodologies such as the Delta Utility Model (DUM) and the accredited V-Model.

ELECTRICAL DESIGN SERVICES

We design industrial electrical systems not only for our own proprietary solutions but we also offer our services as a reliable sub-contractor for projects in plant engineering. Our electrical design team optimises your industrial processes to create solutions that are aligned with industry’s standards.

Complex electrical engineering projects are most often constrained by time and cost. Our clients rely on our competence and support either on site or remotely. In a broader sense our services are geared towards the design of production plants and machines using a variety of methods such as customised or template-based design. Central to our deliverables is concise documentation that ensures the traceability of your design.

For your electrical panel building and switchgear system needs we offer an integrated design approach that can present solutions in both 2D and 3D spaces. Our approach to electrical computer aided design (CAD) includes symbol libraries management, custom symbols, layer management, and functions.

INDUSTRY 4.0

The fourth industrial revolution is changing the way companies manufacture with technologies such as exoskeletons, artificial Intelligence, data analytics, digital twins and mobile robotics. At RHINE our team of innovative design engineers is focussed on the delivery of new services and products that provide our clients with a competitive advantage in their industries.

By analyzing large amounts of real-time production data using mobile and cloud-based applications personell can make informed decisions on how to anticipate downtime and to optimise productivity. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in your production line should be monitored 24/7 and instantly notify you when action is required. In recent years the lines between traditional IT, Industrial and Embedded software development have become increasingly blurred with Industry 4.0 powered by these converging software disciplines.

The driving force behind Industry 4.0 ultimately resides with big data, flexible manufacuring and harmonised human-machine interaction to yield a safer and more sustainable means of manufacturing.
